Nalariid Tryout - #1 Arusk'en

This is my entry for #1 on this sheet here Nalariid Tryout

•Name: Arusk’en (Also goes by Arusk, but only by a select few)

•Species: Nalariid

•Gender: Male

•Age: 268

•S.O.: Straight

•Mate: None

•Faction: Scathis

•Ability: Echokinesis  (Sound Wave Manipulation)

    Arusk’en can create and modifing existing sound waves to do multiple, yet simple tasks such as; strengthen, echo, speed up, slow down, distort and using it as a physical forces and high speed movement to use as barriers or projectile weapons.

    At low frequencies, Arusk’en can make sound potentially fatal by causing internal damage, while high frequencies cannot be heard and act as sonar-effects. Though it can cause disturbances around him. His sound vibrations can travel through air, ground, water and any other form of medium.

    When in his alternate form, he can focus his energy through the palms of his hands and feet and focus his attacks in close combat.

    While the creation and modification of sound waves is simple, to keep up the energy needed to do these tasks are physically strenuous on the body. Like keeping up a physical barrier in defense and using projectile weapons, Arusk’en only likes to use these in critical situations. Though its rare for him to be in close combat as he rarely has someone break his sound barriers.

•Personality:

Arusk’en is pretty much a pain in the as*. He is arrogant, self-centered, malicious, very meticulous about how things are done, and always wears a serious expression. With how his past was he is not use to complete structure and tends to be unpredictable at times. Arusk’en always feels as if he needs more power, and will do whatever it costs to protect his ideals. He is perceptive with strong beliefs, but tends to keep it to himself unless pushed.

    -Weight: 3,654lbs

    -Length: 37ft

    -Build: Tall with well defined muscling.

    -Build: Tall, lean with well defined muscling.

 

•History:

      Arusk’en was born into an outcast family. Life was harsh and was a constant survival of the fittest type life. Life was constantly tense even though it was a close knit family unit. His parents, mainly his mother, tried to care for him, but they took their own health into high consideration first. Their idea, that “he can always be replaced.” As a hatchling up to being a juvenile, Arusk’en didn’t really understand that meaning or the truth behind it at the time. He just lived day by day, meal by meal, and moment by moment.

      As he got older, Arusk’en developed quite a backbone and a prideful personality. His size had grown considerably in the last years and he could easily take on almost any other Nalariid. Able to defend himself, he grew more independent from his parents. Arusk’en has always been envious of what he thought of as the better life styles of the Nelem Faction society. Dreaming one day he might be able to join that society as equals, but because of his stature, it was a far hope. Just as he became a young adult, and gained his ability, Arusk’en set off for a nearby Nelem community, in hopes of gaining recognition and to go through this “Rite of Passage” he has heard stories of as a juvenile. But as soon as he even got close to this community, they rejected him almost immediately. Arusk’en was shocked; he tried repeatedly but they still refused him. All because he was the offspring of an outcast. All he wanted was to live by the his species culture, but whatever his family did, destroyed his hopes.

      Arusk’en realized in his mind, that the Nelem society was similar to that of a gilded society. Nice on the outside but it had it quirks within. Being rejected, just for where he came from tipped the scale on Arusk’ens patience. Attacking a lone Nelem Nalariid and killing him. This anger grew and attacking any Nalarid claiming to be part of the Nelem Faction grew common.  He went rogue and developed a malicious temper. He fine tuned his abilities and didn’t mind doing anything that deemed necessary or what annoyed him. He despised the Nelem ways of thinking and wanted to try and put an end to it. So joining the Scathis Faction proved to be a right choice. They accepted Arusk’en for who he was and where he had come from, the first to ever do that.

      With his arrogant attitude, having any friends wasn’t that easy for him to obtain. Being solo for so long, Arusk’en didn’t really want to get close to anyone and keep his rogue spirit. He also didn’t want anything to hold him down, a weakness. So he focused on training his ability and fulfilling the wishes of the Scathis Faction.

To become stronger, and defeat any foe who stands in his way.

    •Facts:

    -Does not know the reason why his family are outcasts, rumor has it that it was something his father did.

    -Arusk’en will kill at any split moment if the figure is deemed useless, dangerous or unlikeable (Or if its his target)

    -Arusk'en is typically a silent killer, focusing internal attacks, destroying internal organs.

    -Does not like to get into close combat, prefers to get it over with quickly.

    -The Orb is the source of his energy and what gives him the ability to manipulate sound waves.

This was a lot of fun to make! I really love this guy and hope I did him justice~ I also think I found a basic style for reference sheet, hopefully I can work off this and make some nice refernce sheets for all my babehs!
